Ruth S. Rickard, age 97, died at Dove Health Care West in Eau Claire, under Mayo Clinic Health Systems Hospice.

Burial of cremated remains will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire. Chaplin Dale Freberg of Mayo Clinic Health Systems Hospice will officiate.

Ruth was born in Mondovi, WI on October 29, 1914, a daughter to John and S. Evelyn (Young) Myers.

She is survived by a daughter Arvilla (Tom) Kruschke; 2 grandchildren, Rianna (Greg) Voss and Darren Kruschke; 3 great-grandchildren, Owen Kruschke, Jakob and Emma Voss.

Preceding Ruth in death are her parents, her husband of 46 years, Amos Rickard, brother William Myers and sister Arvilla Miller.

Her hobbies included knitting and crafting for others. She worked at NSP, Adam Drug Store, and Coop Shopping Center, was a life-member of Eastern Star and Bethel Baptist Church. Ruth loved spending time with her great-grandchildren, they would brighten up her day.
