Dennis A. Sprague, age 69 of Eau Claire passed away early Sunday morning January 8, 2012 at his home in the arms of his loving wife. He was under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice.

Funeral Services will take place at 2 pm on Saturday January 14, 2012 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 1310 Main Street, Eau Claire, WI 54701. Pastor Gary Sahs will officiate. Visitation will take place at the church Saturday afternoon from 1 pm until the time of services.

Dennis was born on June 20, 1942 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated from Boys Tech High School and went on to a tech school where he became a master patternmaker.

He married the former Nancy Eickstedt in October of 1961. Together they had three sons. Dennis was a leader in 4-H, a hunter safety instructor, a member of Special Police Director of Emergency Government for the City of Cedarburg, WI, served on several church boards and worked with the luther leaguers. He and his family also enjoyed fishing, hunting and family gatherings.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Nancy, sons Wayne (Jeri), Robert (Patrice) and Kevin (Amy) and 2 grandchildren, Cheya and Jordan. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Austin and Myrna (Catencamp) Sprague.
