William Edward Ward, age 59 of Mondovi passed away Thursday evening January 12, 2012 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Eau Claire with his family by his side. Funeral Services will be Monday, January 16, 2012 at 4 p.m. at  Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire. WI. 54701.  Monsignor Edmund Klimek will be officiating.  Full military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post #53 of Eau Claire.

Bill was born on September 24, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois to Charles and Dorothy (Hand) Ward.  He married the former Deborah Tietz on December 30, 1972 at Sacred Heart Church in Eau Claire.  Bill was honorably discharged from the US Navy. His hobbies included coaching little league, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, riding motorcycle, listening to classic rock and playing many card games with friends.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Deb, his children Jason(girlfriend Rebecca Brewer), Heather (boyfriend Mark Martell) and Sean (Nicole); grandsons Caleb, Spencer, Presley and soon to be born granddaughter Braelyn Martell;

brothers Joe (Mary), Jim(Deb) and Tom (Cindi); nephews Jamie, John, Josh, Jim and Justin; a niece Caitlin; mother-in-law Mary Tietz; many foster children he helped throughout the years and his special cocker spaniel companion, Baby.  He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law George Tietz, sister-in-law Nancy Harrison, daughter-in-law Vanessa Ward and a nephew Joey Ward.
